EGOR (Eilish Gormley) is a Portland based painter and performer creating supernatural narratives through painting and film characterized by her haunting original scores, deadpan performance, and analog animation techniques. Video footage, usually filmed and edited on a cellphone, is screen captured and printed as photographs. The photos are altered with physical tools and mediums, then scanned and reanimated digitally. The work approaches the viewer with a surreal angle, encouraging imagination and intuition when processing the work.
